Leopoldo Macaya

Beloved father and grandfather Leopoldo Macaya, 58 of San Jose, CA passed away on August 23, 2021. He passed away peacefully next to his family after years of battling heart disease.

The memorial service will be held at 9am-11am on September 18, 2021 at Oak Hill Memorial Park inside Chapel of flowers. Reception will follow at Reception #3 around 11am-3pm.

Leopoldo Macaya was born in Romblon, Philippines on November 16,1962. He graduated from Romblon High School and continued on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Philippine College of Criminology.

He enjoyed biking, wind surfing and spending time with his family. He was a very enlightened and spontaneous man. Always very happy and kind. He loved volunteering at Echo Church in San Jose, CA.

Leopoldo is will be deeply missed by Sally, Mary Ann, his children Kathryn, John Paul, Leopoldo Jr, Leighann, his grandchildren Mia, Audrina, Jaden and Jax, his father Leopoldo Sr., brothers, sisters and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to his daughter Kathryn Macaya. The family of Leopoldo wishes to thank everyone for all the prayers and donations. All donations will be given to his 5 year old Leighann Macaya.
