Dear Larry,

I just heard about Liv's passing this morning. Hullene and I are so profoundly sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you must be feeling right now but I am certain she loved you with all her heart. I know that you will remain strong through this tough time and please rest assured that everyone whose lives she touched will remember her with the greatest fondness.

Please do not hesitate to call me if you need anything. No matter what it is, I will be there. Even if it's just someone to speak with. Please know that we are never going to forget our great times with her and we will always be here for you.

Our Love for you and family,
Marcus & Hullene

I feel fortunate that Liv has been a good friend of mine for many years. Larry and Liv's oldest son went to the same school with our youngest daughter.
Liv and I use to carpool together to attend quilt classes held in Los Altos. In the spring of 2019, Pete and I traveled to India with Liv and Larry and shared accommodations with them in a houseboat located in Kerala, India.
I will remember Liv as a talented photographer as well as a kind, respectful and gentle individual. I will miss her.

Dear Ames Family:
I am deeply saddened about the loss of Liv who I’ve known since our children were young. I’ve had the privilege of seeing her at many community events, hiking with her, and sharing family news. She was such a wise, strong woman who loved bicycling and hiking, loved nature, and loved teaching children about the natural world. My heartfelt condolences go to Larry and the family.

Grace, beauty, joy, a calming presence, laughter. Artist. Photographer. Partner. Athlete. Mother. Interesting. Welcoming. Well-loved and will be greatly missed. One thinks of Liv, then Liv and Larry, Larry with Liv, and Larry. Intermixed and separate. They were greatly enriched together and wonderfully strong in their separate passions. Her annual Christmas art cards remain in my collection. Their joyful celebration of thousands of Halloween visitors is legendary. She stepped back quietly and stepped forward strongly in a model of marital partnership. I will miss her photos, her art, her presence, the stories of their travels and the joy that sparkled in her face when she spoke of her grandchild.
