Loc T Hoang

Our loving mother, Loc T Hoang a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother born Jan 6,1936 in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, passed away peacefully on Aug 26, 2024 in San Jose, California USA at the age of 88.

As a young mother, she devoted herself to being the best mother possible to children. She was always someone her kids could go to for advice, love and comfort. She was a very strong-willed woman and extremely independent woman who took care of her husband, Binh Tran during his time in the political prison after the fall of Saigon in 1975 and took care of her children during this difficult time under the control of the communist regime.

She and her husband offered to come to settle down in San Jose in 1990 under the humanitarian & family re-union program by the US government. She was then, stay-at-home mom continued to support her children in Vietnam and a full-time caregiver to her husband, Binh Tran until he passed away in 2010. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors activities, helping the charities and her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Loc T Hoang survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The memorial services:

On Sunday Sept 22, 2024 at 10AM: A memorial service will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park 300 Curtner Ave San Jose CA 95125.

On Monday Sept 23,2024 at 1PM: A Mass service will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church 2980 Senter Road San Jose CA 95111.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Heart Association.
