Lois Navarrette Barrera

October 2, 1933- May 5, 2025

Lois Navarrette Barrera was born to Jess and Isabel Navarrette in Goodrich, Colorado on October 2, 1933. She was raised in Santa Clara, California. In 1953, she married Raul Moreno Barrera. Together they had five children, Raul Jr. Angelina, Tom, Minnie and Victoria. Raul and Lois made a lifelong commitment to each other and were married 65 years. While in her teens and early twenties, Lois worked in many canneries throughout Santa Clara Valley. In her late twenties, she began her nursing career, where she was employed at Doctors and later Alexian Brothers hospital in San Jose. As grandchildren entered her life, she decided to help raise them. She became an amazing childcare provider for her grandchildren and made countless, lifelong memories with them. She was the matriarch of four generations. Lois passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She joined her husband, Raul Sr., her parents, many siblings, daughter Minnie, and granddaughters Rayna and McKenna, in Heaven. She is survived by her children, Raul Jr, Tom, Angelina, and Victoria, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Lois is beloved by her family and will forever be missed.
