Louie J. Tapia Sr.

He was born in Corona, California in 1941. He moved to San Jose, CA in the 1950's, where he attended San Jose High School. Louie worked and retired from Ford Motor Company. He later went to work for Alum Rock School District and retired from there in 2007.

He is survived by his loving children: Arlene, Elaine, Sylvia, Nadine, Rachel and Louie Jr. Louie was an amazing grandfather to 14, Irene, Reena, Anthony, Ruben, Danielle, Leticia, Mellissa, Robert, Angeline, Michael, Evan, Carlos, Louie III, Mariah and great-grandfather to Aerial. Siblings who will miss him too are Raymond, Ruben and Jesse Tapia. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife Eva, who he reunited with in Heaven.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. On Thursday May 18, 2023, Final Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass begins at 11 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church, 2040 Nassau Drive, San Jose, followed by burial at 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2650 Madden Avenue, San Jose.
