Louis was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on February 18, 1930. His family migrated with many others during the Great Dust Bowl Migration when he was 11 years old.
He graduated from Visalia Union High School and continued on to receive a Associate Degree from College of the Sequoias.
Half-way through his college career, he volunteered to serve his country during the Korean War.
Louis was married to Bertha (Diaz) Mosqueda on October 16, 1954 and was a loving husband to her for 68 years. They moved to San Jose, Ca. after their marriage and begin to build their family and the life they both agreed was nothing short of amazing and blessed. Louis was a quiet, self-made man who always put his family first and enjoyed many travels with his beloved wife after the children.
Louis worked in his early years as a carpenter before joining the firm of Santa Clara Valley Water Conservation District as a carpenter, crew leader, cloud seeder (rain-maker) then as the Maintenance Coordinator for machinery, men and materials. He worked for 36 years before retiring at 56. He enjoyed fishing, camping, wood working, gardening, dancing, playing his guitar, planes, cars and spending time with his family; which included being a Scout Master. He was also actively involved in the St. John Vianney Chapter of the St. Vincent De Paul Society, Engaged Couples Retreats, Folk Music Group and usher for 15 years.
Louis is survived by his spouse, Bertha Mosqueda, children, Terry Deane (Richard) Lydia Anchondo (Vincent) Martin Mosqueda (Mara) and Elaine Harmon (Michael). Grandchildren, Marina Sanchez (Patrick), Ysabel Pulido (Santiago), Nicole Adam (Kyle), Marnie Brimm (Andrew), Travis Deane (Cindy) and Michael Anchando.
Great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tyler Deane, Jaxson and Marin Brimm, Giada, Santana and Valentina Pulido, Emma Sanchez and Mason James Adam and many nieces and nephews.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Ysabel Mosqueda, brothers, Sam, Pete and William and sisters Rebecca and Rose.
Each of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a special bond with him and will forever live in their hearts.
Louis touched many people through many walks of life and in doing so enriched both his and their lives. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
The greatest gift he gave to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the example of a loving, faith filled life.
His life was lived with his faith at the fore-front and it gives us comfort to know that he is at peace and that when our times comes to make the journey home, our Father will be there to great us with a gentle “Welcome Home”
