She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who loved her family unconditionally. Her compassion, strength and love was felt by all who knew her.
Irene immigrated to the United States 60 years ago to Gilroy, California and eventually settled in San Jose in 1971. On August 21, 1971, she married Daniel Cisneros Jr. They shared nearly 55 years together, building and nurturing their family and home.
Before she married, she worked at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum Administrative Offices in North San Jose for several years before leaving the workforce to raise her family at home. After her children were grown, she worked for the San Jose Unified School District for close to 20 years as a teacher’s aide and then as a Food Service Manager at Castillero Middle School where she eventually retired.
Irene was a proud and devoted mother to her two daughters, Annie and Christina. She was a loving grandmother to Annie’s son's, Devin and Christopher, and Christina’s son, Cameron. Her family was the absolute joy of her life whom she was very proud to call her own.
Irene will never be forgotten and will forever be missed. She is now among the angels of her past, including her mother, Maria, her father, Juan, her sister, Martha and her grandson, Christopher.
