Marcella M. Graves of San Jose, CA passed away on December 28, 2024. Marcella was the daughter of Maurice E. Gifford and Clara (Phillips) Gifford of San Jose, CA, formerly of Berryville, AR.
Marcella, one of nine children, was born on March 4, 1928, in Baxter Springs, KS. She graduated from Berryville High School in 1949. After graduation, she moved to California and worked in San Jose and San Francisco from 1951 to 1969. Marcella married James D. Graves on June 30, 1956, in San Francisco.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Majorie L (Gifford) Willhite, of Berryville, AR. and Clara Jean (Gifford) Reed of Columbus, OH; four brothers, Richard L. Gifford of Boulder Creek, CA, Maurice V. Gifford of Berryville, AR, Martin M. Gifford of Stockton, CA, and Laurence M. Gifford of San Jose, CA. Survivors in addition to her husband James Donald Graves of 68 years, are Anita (Gifford) Belluomini and Carolyn (Gifford) Wells, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A private interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, CA.
