Gloria entered peacefully into eternal rest on Jan 6, 2021; she passed away at home surrounded by her family. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Jesus P. Ramirez. Gloria is survived by her children, Albert (Rosemary) Ramirez of Folsom CA, Maricela Johnson of Folsom, CA (Earl Johnson of Elk Grove, CA), Nelva (Larry) Stephens of Rocklin, CA and Maria Ramirez of Los Banos, CA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. How does one begin to write about the incredible life of an extraordinary woman? How is one able convey feelings and thoughts into words that can articulate exactly what this woman meant to so many of us? Gloria was someone who as a young girl overcame many obstacles and misfortunes in her early life; she was one of the lucky young women who was able to marry and live a long fulfilling life with her soulmate. She was a woman who taught so many how to be a loving, nurturing and understanding parent; someone who explained to us that all your life’s lessons made you the person you would and could become. Someone who had this innate ability to know things about you before you even knew them yourself. Gloria was someone who forged lifelong friendships with people who would come to love and embrace her as part of their own families. She was a woman who enjoyed taking a spin around the dance floor as much as she loved sitting, talking and eating the morning away at her favorite casino buffet. She was a woman who could put a stick in the ground and somehow make beautiful flowers grow. She was someone who loved to recall stories about her young life to her grandchildren so that they could understand how she became the woman she was. Gloria is someone who because of all these things and more, will be deeply missed by so many.
