Marie Stella Falcone was born in San Jose, to Jim & Florence Stella. Marie attended local schools and enjoyed marching in the school band playing trumpet. While dancing at the San Jose Civic Auditorium, she met and soon married a handsome sailor, Ignacie “Fal” Falcone. Living in the east foothills, Marie and Fal raised 4 children: Paula, Rickey, Robin & Pamela. Marie was a talented homemaker, perfecting skills in sewing, flower arranging and interior decoration. Later in life she utilized these skills by teaching clothing construction and fabric selection. It was a joy for her meeting new friends each day.
Favorite times were spent on the dance floor, two stepping to country music at Cow Town or swinging to Big Bands at the Coconut Grove. She maintained her Italian heritage and customs through her love of cooking, along with an annual specialty of canning homemade tomato sauce. We will all miss her famously delicious Biscotti and other traditional recipes.
Grandma Ree was proud of her grandchildren and loved and adored her great grandchildren. She is survived by 3 daughters and their spouses, Paula & David Flores, Robin & Marcus Dutra & Pamela & Vance Horita, her sister Josephine Izzarelli, and many family members. Marie was preceded in death by “Fal” Falcone and her son Rickey.
Marie had a youthful energy and enthusiasm for life; she will be missed by a loving family, relatives and new & lifelong friends.
