Mary was my Bonus Grandma. She was always an important part of my life from the time I was a little girl until her final moments on this Earth. I have many wonderful memories of her and her beautiful soul. She taught me how to be strong and to be proud of who I was and where I came from. We had many fun times together laughing. My favorite memory of her was in a car on a freeway. We laughed so hard at the moment and a reminisced about it a few weeks ago, still laughing. She was an important part of my boys lives as well. She was always interested in how they were doing and what was going on in their lives. I love her so much and I am so grateful she was such an important part of my life. I will miss her and look forward to seeing her again someday.

Though Mary and Gerry only had a son, Denny, who died in childhood, They were like a second set of parents to me, my brother, and sister. Later, as I was the only surviving sibling, they became another set of Grand Parents to my 3 children, Marcie, Katie, and Brody, sharing all their important events. Swimming, fishing, and spending Holidays together was really special. We loved visiting her at her Brentwood home golfing, going out to dinner and just visiting. Mary was with the entire family on our Mexican cruise, including her 7 Great Great Grand Children, Preston, Caden, Josh, Julie, Jake, Maiya, and Aaliyah, Evening dinners were especially enjoyable because we all sampled both entrees because we could. Mary was very loved by her Utah family. Sincerely Sam and Kathy Arishita
