My memories of Mel start from my childhood. He was the smiling face that greeted and ushered all who attended our church. Steady, solid, dependable, faithful, hard-working. A model of integrity that any young man would do well to emulate.

We so appreciated our elder, brother in the Lord.
Mel and his late wife, Anita, exemplified a faith-filled Christian Marriage. 
Mel, rugged, but gentle & kind, always made time for people. 
His life experiences and wise counsel were always well-worth listening to.
Praying God's Comfort to the family.

Mel was a good and faithful friend. Strictly a 'straight-shooter', he left nothing to guess. His love for the LORD was always seen, heard, and known once you met (and knew) him. Loved hearing his "history" (his-story) lifetime adventures. I will miss my friend, but I know there's great celebration in heaven!
