Michael Sanjeev Ram was born on May 23, 1982 in San Jose, California. He was the first and only child of Hari and Barbara Ram. Michael was a blessing that brought so much joy in the Ram and Kumar family. He quickly became the apple of his parents eyes and Michael bonded with both his parents on a very special level. Mike was a happy go lucky boy and as he grew he developed a love of animals. He enjoyed his goldfish, loved turtles, dogs and cats.
Mike had many friends in the neighborhood. All of his neighborhood friends would gather at his house to play basketball. He enjoyed riding his Knight Rider bike with them and loved watching the Knight Rider TV Show. Mike enjoyed collecting baseball cards and knew all the players and their stats. He loved music and had numerous CD's. He liked to watch Batman, Spiderman, Incredible Hulk and was an avid collector of action figures.
At the tender age of 14 Michael suffered a catastrophic loss when his father passed away. Michael was also the first to find his father's body after coming home from school. A child losing a parent at a young age is a traumatic experience but Michael was resilient and accepted the responsibilities and burdens that were placed on him.
Michael went on to graduate from San Jose State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. During his career he worked for Cisco as well as Comcast as a Data Analyst. In his down time he gave to the community by volunteering at animal shelters in San Jose, Coastal Cleanup and Second Harvest Food Bank.
Michael's love and protection for his Mother was always his first priority. He always made sure his Mother was safe and advised her even at a young age. Even after moving to Fremont to be closer to his workplace. Michael took care of his Mother. He visited her every other Sunday and called and texted through the week. Those Sundays were busy, as he would maintain her car and fix any broken appliance around the house.
As an adult, Michael was calm and intentional. He chose his words wisely and approached each situation with poise. We will miss him dearly.
