To the Payne family. My memories go way back to 1984. Mona provided daycare for our daughter Adrienne. 
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Mona. I did not know until now.

Jerry and family.  Leanne and I are so saddened by the passing of Mona.  She was the Emory Street matriarch and we always loved hanging out at holidays parties, catching up on the weekdays when working in the yard, chasing down mysterious people who may be lurking around the street etc.  Mona was full of life, down to earth, welcomed us when we first arrived on Emory street and was a kindred spirit of sorts to so many of us.  

Leanne and I didn't know about the service yesterday (just learning of it through Tony) but had we known, we wouldn't of been certain that it was open to the public.  Leanne's mom recently passed away and she and her dad were very private with their grief and processing.  We always want to be respectful which is why we haven't stopped by to give our condolences just yet.  Today we saw an orchard that was in full bloom and we knew, this was the gift that we would like to share with you to celebrate Mona's life.  We will be stopping by in the next week or so if that is ok, just to drop off the orchard, share our in person condolences and certainly see if there is anything that we can do for you and your family.  


I know that I speak for this entire street when I say we are all here for you, anytime...just let us know and never hesitate to ask!

We send our deepest thoughts and prayers to all of you. For myself, Mona always was like a second mother to me while growing up with Myles. I am very thankful for having someone like Her to always make me feel like family when I was with you guys.
Though it's been some time now since we have all seen one another, please know that your family will always be in our thoughts and we will hold you in our prayers.

I was saddened to read about Mona's passing.  My heartfelt condolences to her family..  As you all probably know, Mona was a frequent shopper at Pottery Barn...she was always looking for something special for her home.  I took an instant liking to her and we realized we went to the same church and lived in the same neighborhood.  I will miss seeing her smiling face coming into Pottery Barn.  Prayers for her family during this difficult time.

I first met Mona (Natale) when I became the soundman for the Glide band in 1975 and until we disbanded in 1981. Heather and Myles were cute and very active little people at this time.

My duplex next to Valley Fair Mall shared a backyard fence with Jerry and Mona Payne's duplex. This is where I first met Jerry and saw what a truly interesting and good guy he was. I knew then that Mona had an exceptional partner for life. Jerry and I were both military brats as our fathers were both Air Force Flight Crew members.

My first impressions of Mona was the sparkle in those brown eyes, her free spirit and that attractive smile. She was a very pretty lady and a cool one too. She was the head dame of the fun lady posse at our Glide shows. It was fun watching the ladies out on the dance floor - at least until some clown(s) got too silly. Many amusing events occurred as our Farmer Brothers Sound and Road Crew provided security for the ladies as well as the band all those years.

I feel very sad and can't find the right words but tears have found me since Mona's passing. Big boys ain't supposed to cry or at least admit it, right? I am so disappointed that I didn't visit or at least contact Mona and Jerry again after many years of telling myself one day I would. Recently I've made contact with long lost friends and family with Mona as my inspiration and it feels good. I think everyone should do this while there is still time.

I'm going to remember Mona as the unique mix of being a great Mom, a very fun and pleasant person, her smile and... that girl could dance!

I am so sorry to hear of Mona's passing. My condolences to her family. She was always such a sweet person. I remember the school days at St Martin when her kids were young. My boys were the same age and attended school there. My thoughts and prayers to Jerry and the kids.

Jerry and family, I'm so sorry to hear of Mona's passing.  She was always incredibly friendly whenever we saw each other.  It was always obvious how much she loved her family.  I'm praying for your family during this difficult time.

Very sad to hear of Mona's passing. I first met Mona and Jerry and their family when they lived on Woodland Avenue, next door to friends of mine.  I now work at the same firm as Jerry.  Mona was always kind and gracious, and you could tell she was a fine lady, wife, and mother.  My prayers go out to Jerry, and all of Mona's family and friends on their loss.  May God grant her soul peace and eternal rest.

I was very blessed to know Mona and work with her.  She will forever be missed and prayers for her family to which she was bigger than life!!  She loved her family!
