Born on Monday, May 22, 1944 in San Angelo, Texas to her father, Ramon Rodriguez and mother, Theodora Zapata, she grew to be a faithful child of God.
She married her husband of 60 years, Andres Garcia, in 1959. They later traveled to California where they were fruitful and blessed by the Lord.
Naomi demonstrated her love for God as an active member of the church. She praised and worshiped through songs and committed her time to teaching in the church. She loved to read her bible and maintained a continuous desire to learn more and more about Jesus. She tithed regularly to the church and donated to other non-profit organizations; helping wherever she could. Her desire was that the world would get to know and love Jesus as much as she did. This was seen in her passion in sharing the word of God with youth and everyone she met. She felt that children should know Jesus and follow in His word.
Her interests included: spending time with family, sewing, collecting porcelain dolls, shopping for shoes, watering and caring for her garden, cooking, and going for drives.
Naomi is survived by her husband Andres Garcia, her siblings: Raymond Rodriguez, Danny Rodriguez, Ruth Rodriguez, Hope Rodriguez, and Ernest Rodriguez; her children: Sandra Baizas, Andres Jr. Garcia, Sylvia Baizas, and Gary Garcia; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Naomi’s legacy of faith and love towards God has made her a pillar of God and a beacon of light for our family. Because of her, we have been able to receive the precious gift of faith that she continuously shared with us.
