Nellie was my Grandma, and she was one of the strongest women I have had the blessing to have in my life. She survived the depression, being separated from Papa during WWII, and all of her siblings. I love her for the unique way she touched everyone, but especially for our manicures, Togos (NEVER Subway!), and Rolling Rock. She will forever in my heart, and will always serve as a reminder to be a lady. I love my Grandma.

Grandma I miss you so much! I am so glad I have had the time to spend with you and all the stories you shared with me. Thank you for all the love you have shown to me and my girls and Mike. I will keep that promise to you and make you proud. I love you and thank you for everything, you changed my life.

Grandma, I will alway remember the look in your eye when you saw Nellie Rae for the first time. I know you will be her gaurdian angel and now you can watch over her all the time. I only wish we could have spent more time together. I have a lot of memories I will share with Cami and Nellie of you and Grandpa. My heart still hurts knowing I will never see you again but is happy knowing you are finally back with Grandpa. You will be dearly missed. Love You.

Grandma Hulen was such an awesome lady and deeply loved by all of us!  We will miss her very much but are comforted knowing she is in heaven with Papa watching over us and she knows we'll remember them often.  Our beautiful Granddaughter, little Nellie Rae Knuth will be our constant reminder of both her and Papa.

Gram, lost without you, but SO grateful to have had you and Papa in my life. I never could have made it without you. All my love forever,

Dear Judy and extended family of Nellie,
We extend to you all our deepest sympathy at losing Nellie. She loved you all very much. Each time I crossed the street to see her I could always be assured of being filled in on the latest important family news and shown the latest photos. Ray and Nellie were wonderful neighbors and we miss them.
