Nellie (Manuela) Cardenas Ybarra Salazar, 93 yrs.old, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was born in Glendale, Arizona on June 7, 1928 to Ricardo & Lucia Ybarra. Nellie passed on Sunday October 3, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. When her children were young she was involved in the girls & boys scouts and then later she worked as a teacher’s aide at Los Arboles School and then her passion became making and collecting porcelain dolls.

She is survived by her children Mauricio Jr (Kathy), Josephine, David (Jodi), Victoria Okorakpo (Bobby), Anthony, Robert, along with her 19 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren, 16 in-laws, her sister Rosa Molina and many nieces and nephews and many who called her grandmom and her caregiver Maria Molina who loved and cared for her until her passing. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Mauricio G. Salazar of 67 years, her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers and two grandsons.

Visitation – Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Oak Hill Memorial Room E from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Services - Wednesday October 20, 2021, viewing 9 am -10:00 am, Services at 10:00-11:00 am, in the Chapel of the Roses. Interment to follow
