Nola Rae Batchelor, 86, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Villa Fontana Assisted Living in San Jose, California.
Nola was born on June 26, 1934 in Wells, NV, daughter of the late George Ivan and Julia Kathryn Batchelor. She graduated from Hayward High School in 1952. She received her associate degree in business and worked for Lockheed Martin for 33 years.
From a young age Nola expressed that her one desire was to travel, and she did! Her first passport was issued in 1974 and soon after she visited France and the United Kingdom. Two years later Nola traveled to New Zealand and Australia. She cruised from Rio de Janeiro to the Antarctic, down the Rheine River and took a train trip through Canada to see Fall foliage. Many more adventures on other continents filled her life. She was blessed throughout her life with like-minded friends to travel with throughout the world. Nola was a truly kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others.
In addition to her parents, Nola was predeceased by a sister she never met, Julia Aloise (1926-1928).
Nola is interred at Oak Hill Cemetery, San Jose, CA. We will celebrate Nola’s life this summer when we can all be together.
