

He was born August 31, 1933 in Mezquite Gordo, Michoacan. As a young man he worked in his family farms until he moved to San Jose in the late 1960s. He worked in construction for 30 years, and retired from Vanderson Construction in 1996. He was a member of the Local Union 270.
Ramon was a positive, loving and generous person. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.
He was an accomplished singer and guitar player. He loved his Mexican music, Mexican traditions and charrerias. He loved spending time with family and friends. He especially adored spending time with his grandchildren, always motivating them to continue on to a higher education.
His love of music was an inspiration to his family and his hard work ethic, enthusiasm for life and family values will continue as a legacy for us all. He instilled the love of family and traditions so that we can each continue honoring his memory in strength and determination.
Ramon is survived by his Wife Sara V. Rios of Madera; his children Rocio Diaz of Morgan Hill, Hilda (Aurelio) Gonzalez Amezcua of San Jose, Ramon (Maria) Rios of San Jose, Jaime (Jasmine) Rios of Santa Rosa, Laura (Antonio) Alvares of San Jose, Sara Rios of San Jose, Adrian N. Rios of San Jose; his 14 grand children, Isabella, Amanda, Jacob, Manuel, Danny, Natalie,Ruben, Raquel, Joshua, James, Rebecca, Marco, Gabrielle, Arianna; One great grandchild, Adrian Gonzalez; and his 3 Siblings Escolastica Rios, Soledad Rios, and Lucy Scribner.
