Rebecca is survived by her son Daniel and daughter in law Josie Lomeli Perez of Gilroy, CA and son Henry Jr. of Orlando, Fla. and granddaughter and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Marquez Perez, parents Victor Garret and Guadalupe Canez de Carrillo of Douglas, Arizona as well as 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Rebecca was born on December 4, 1927 in Douglas, Arizona. She attended high school in Douglas, Arizona before moving to Los Angeles, CA where she met and married Henry Marquez Perez, the love of her life, on April 10, 1948. They proceeded to have two sons and moved to Montebello, CA in 1961. Becky was not only a full-time mother but worked outside the home for printing, book binding and service companies in accounting and finance functions. Prior to retirement in 1992, she worked as the financial controller and administrator for a security, transportation and maintenance services company in Los Angeles.
During their 69 years of marriage, Becky and her husband Henry were fun loving and always the life of the party, dancing and entertaining with their larger than life personalities. They were generous not only to family and friends but also with strangers. Whether it was with a home cooked meal, a place to stay or support for a rainy day, everyone was considered a friend.
In 2012 Becky and her husband Henry moved to San Jose, CA to be closer to their son Daniel, Josie and granddaughter Sonata Perez Nelson and her husband Garrett Nelson. Becky and Henry were thankful for this move as it provided them the opportunity to see the birth of three great grandchildren and share in countless family celebrations, visits and time together. Her family and friends remember Becky as a loving, kind, gentle, generous and glamorous person. She was a person of deep faith and devoted to the power of prayer to St. Jude and his intercession for all those in need.
Becky was also a devoted sister to her nine siblings, especially close to her sisters Teresa, Hortencia “Guerra” Guerrero, Alicia “Leecha” Rodriguez, Berta Gonzales, and brothers Jose “Chapo” Carrillo, Victor Carrillo and Caesar Carrillo and nieces Betty Camarena, Lupita Stoyanov, and Mary Ellen Galindo.
She will always be loved and remembered. We miss you Mom.
