Richard Arnold Costa

Richard Arnold Costa left us July 15, 2021 at age 86 in San Jose, CA. He was born in San Jose on August 16, 1934. Richard is survived by his wife Gloria Costa, sister Rita Ivancovich, son Randy Costa (Cherilyn Costa), son Scott Costa (Kerry Costa), son Jeff Costa (Tiffani Costa), grandchildren Rob Costa (Sarah Costa), Jim Costa (Brittany Costa), Katie Costa, Shane Costa, great grandchildren Iris Blystone, Stella Blystone, Larkin Costa, Ruby Costa and many nieces and nephews.

He served in the US Navy being honorably discharged October 21, 1953 with rank Seaman Recruit. He also served in the US Coast Guard, honorable discharge August 21, 1961, with rank Gunners Mate 2. Richard served on the USS Cutter Taney during his time in the military.

His interests in life were family gatherings, dancing, garage sales, restoring Cushman scooters & antique boat outboard motors. Richard was a collector of antique toys, was a car enthusiast, and enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing. He was the proud business owner of Glide In Overhead Door Co. in San Jose, CA.
