Mr. Thaw was was a very popular and favorite 6th grade teacher for many students at Simonds Elementary School in the 1970s.  My classmates and I have great memories of his stories and fun instruction style.  He brought his beloved drum set into the classroom and his students enjoyed playing it after school.  He loved to play basketball with his students during P.E. - which would occur at random times on any given day.  He will be missed and remembered fondly.

My deepest condolences to Kathy and family.

 So sorry to hear of your loss. Rich was always such a sweet guy. I will miss seeing him around the neighborhood. I have been by the house but haven't caught you at home yet. Please let me know if I can do anything to help.
