Robert Nelson Graham

Robert “Bob” Nelson Graham, 94, of San Jose, California, passed away on August 23, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved him dearly. He was born on July 7, 1932, in Springdale, Arkansas, where he grew up on a farm with his family and developed a lifelong love of animals, especially horses and dogs. He lived a life filled with family, hard work, friendships, animals, stories, laughter, and countless memories that will be cherished forever.

After graduating from high school, Bob proudly served four years in the United States Navy. He later moved to San Jose, California, where he met and married his beloved wife, Carol Lee Graham. Together they raised their family, and Bob went on to build a 43-year career with AT&T.

Carol preceded him in death in 1997. Bob never remarried and devoted his life to his family, friends, and the people he loved. He was known for his kindness, honesty, positive spirit, easygoing nature, and wonderful sense of humor.

Bob loved his home in Pioneer, California, where his neighbors became like family. He enjoyed his dogs, fishing, camping, weekend breakfasts, coffee and ice cream, watching westerns, and, most of all, telling stories about his life and the people he loved. His faith was also an important part of his life. Bob belonged to the Church of the Cross in Pine Grove, where he enjoyed being part of the church community and often greeted people at the door on Sundays.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Ann Graham; son, Keith Nelson Graham; granddaughter, Kassandra Louise Graham; great-grandchildren Jahdae Andre Sanders (“Baby J”), and triplets Makai Nelson Sanders, Marleigh Louise Sanders, and Mia Ann Sanders; and his sister, Janice D’Amico. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Graham.

Bob’s greatest legacy is the love he gave to his family and friends, and the many lives he touched throughout his 94 years. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered through the stories, laughter, kindness, and memories he leaves behind.
