Robert R. Hodges, 63, passed away on January 29, 2011, while on a dirt bike riding trip with 2 of his sons and a friend, doing what he loved to do. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana, 3 sons, Michael, Mark and Tom, their wives and 7 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Charlotte, brother Randy, sister Janice. His father, Clarence, preceded him in death.
Bob was an avid motorcycle and bicycle enthusiast and loved exploring the outdoors. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather, and husband. He felt passionately about the Blue Ribbon Coalition and Friends of the El Dorado Trail.
Born in Burlingame, California, he spent most of his life in San Jose, where he retired as a City of San Jose electrician. He retired to his dream home with his wife in the Sierra Foothills in ’08. He was respected by all and he will be greatly missed.
Bob was a man of honor, though down to earth, and he made those around him feel like old friends. He was a warm, kind and gentle man who could build or fix almost anything.
