I meet Bob about 5 years ago in Redmond WA.  We soon beacame close friends.  He shared stories of Kim's wedding, Kirsten's accomplishments and his new grandson Noah.  His kindness and friendship are irreplaceable and he will always have a spot in my heart.  I saw him just days before his passing and I am having a hard time believing that we will never see that smile again, except in our memories.  Linda

This is so difficult to comprehend. Just a few weeks ago, Bob and I were sitting together, laughing and cutting up, making plans for trips that promised to be "awesome." Now, suddenly, he's gone.

Bob and I were the closest of friends in high school. Running the halls, getting into trouble, being general cut-ups, Bob, Tom Tilley and I were seemingly inseparable. Bob's family and mine became close. There were weekend pool parties at his house. We shared lots of good times.

Then, after graduation, for a time, we remained closed but circumstances and events came between. Bob went into the Air Force and I went on to college. We stayed in touch, though. He was my Best Man at my wedding, my brother and I were a part of his wedding to Leslie. Life took us down separate roads.

Then, as if it were meant to be, we reconnected after some 30 years. He was actually living most of the week just down the freeway from me. We picked up our conversations as if only days, not years, had passed. It ended all too quickly.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Leslie, Kimico and Kirsten - and the rest of Bob's family. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I'll miss him greatly.

Bob may have been the most brilliant man I have ever met. He was kind and generous and brought out the very best from his co-workers. He turned chaos into order and solved seemingly insurmountable business problems. There was no challenge he would not accept.

He was my friends father and i am deeply saddened by the news. My condolences go out to the whole family. Its a very difficult time and not easy to deal with. God bless you all! My thoughts and prayers are with you! He was an incredible man!

I have known Bob since 1979 at HP in Santa Clara.  We went river rafting and he came to Arizona to visit  me and played golf. I felt as if I was a part of the family, when I was invited to be in Hawaii to see his daughter get married.  Leslie and I when shopping. Then I took Kirsten and her friend to have lunch. The men where playing golf.  Bob was a true friend and I will miss him as long as I live.

I worked with Bob at H.P. Santa Clara in the late 70's and 80's. I remember the golf league and softball with Bob. We had a lot of fun and laughs during those times. My condolences to his family.
