his 90th birthday.
Roy was born on May 6, 1928 in Wabeno, WI and was preceded in death by his parents, Louise
and Clem LeFevre, his sister Irena Funk, and his brother, Clem LeFevre. Roy is survived by his
wife of 59 years, Rosalind LeFevre, his daughter, Terry Gregersen (Joe), son Chuck LeFevre
(Christine), 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and
countless nieces and nephews.
Roy enlisted in the Navy in 1946 and retired in 1965. Roy continued to work for various
military contractors including Vitro and Lockheed, as well as NASA until 2003 when he retired.
After he retired and while his wife was still working, Roy joined her every day for lunch,
driving her to work, going back for lunch and then making a third trip to pick her up. These
two inseparable companions traveled the country together, attending many family events as
the West Coast representatives. When they were not traveling, they could be found enjoying
a weekend at one of the Lake Tahoe casinos or eating at their favorite restaurants, including
Benihana and Black Angus, where Roy was on a first name basis with many of the staff.
This was not uncommon for Roy, as he was quick with a hand shake and always wore a genuine
smile. He was the life of the party, had countless friends, and was loved by all. Always one
with a positive attitude, his usual response when asked how he was doing, even when
cheating death in a hospital bed, was to smile and respond, “If I was any better I couldn’t
stand it.”
His constant smile and positive attitude will be missed by the many hearts he touched.
