“3 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.’”
(Revelations 21: 3-4)
On Saturday, February 10, 2024, heaven was preparing to receive one of their own. Jesus was preparing her family and friends for the arrival of Ruby Charmayne Jasso. The excitement was overwhelming because this day Jesus would choose the one who would meet Charmayne the moment she left her body. As Jesus gazed at the crowd His eyes connected with the one who was privileged to birth her into earth, her mom, Deborah. Deborah knew her daughter's time on earth was coming to an end. Jesus said, “Deborah go get your daughter,” and she left.
With moments left, Charmayne would have her husband Felix and her two sons, Isaiah and Josiah, by her side. They filled her ears with praises and words of affirmation as they gently held her hand. Charmayne responded with smiles and stares that would communicate with each one her love and appreciation. As Charmayne let go of the world she knew so well, a sound of heavenly worship caught her ear. The overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit saturated the room. A voice from heaven called her name. As she looked toward the beautiful light, she saw her mom stretching out her hand and she heard her say, “Mija, it’s time to come home.” With one last breath, she looked at those she loved so much and opened her eyes to the promise of living with Jesus for eternity.
