It is with sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Sara Truong. Mom courageously battled a hemorrhagic stroke and cancer for a year and a half. Surrounded by her family and loved ones, Mom took her last breath on June 2nd, 2026, at 11:53 PM.
Sara is survived by three children, two sons-in-law, five grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and their families and friends. Born on January 19th, 1943, to an overjoyed parents in Vietnam, she took on the traditional role as a housewife and mother. At the conclusion of the war, many sacrifices and hardships were endured in raising her children alone. Despite the adversities, she managed to escape Vietnam by boat to give her children a better future. Immigrating to the United States empty-handed, her determination never wavered.
Her lifelong dream of furthering her education became a reality when she enrolled in a local community college. Through hard work, resilience, and extreme frugality, Sara single-handedly raised her three young children into successful adults. Her unconditional love, guidance, and encouragement inspired and empowered her children, grandchildren, and generations to come. Her good heart and generosity are immense. Donations are regularly made to charities and those in need locally and worldwide.
Mom will always be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be greatly missed.
