The moon and the stars were in on the fun
I left today to chase the sun
I'm thankful for all the friends I've made
Who were always there to provide their aide
The unsung heros of night and day
With shield in hand to keep doubt at bay
Please don't shed a tear or cry in my name
Having left this day did ease my pain
Not to cause you to hurt or seek attention
But to release the thoughts I could not mention
Peace is with me now I'm free to play
To banter about in my own special way
The birds still sing and the plants will still sprout
I am honored to see the beauty they tout
We will see each other again real soon
Just look for me in a smile or tune
I wish you love and peace from deep down inside
I will remember you always with joy and pride
I do not presume to know where or when
But I know for sure we'll meet again!
