Scheherazade Rahim Zorn (Sherry, Shezaddy, Schezad) loving wife, mother of three, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away in San Jose at the age of 74. Sherry graduated from San Jose State University's nursing program and received her BSN. Sherry was a registered nurse for 40 years. Sherry met and married James Leon Zorn 1969. They went on to raise three children: twin boys Tarek and Rabbia, as well as a daughter, Lilah Zorn. Scheherazade was born on November 24th, 1946 in Marysville, California to Haji Abdul Rahim and Ruth Mae George Rahim. Schezad, and or Schezaddy, as her family lovingly referred to her, was one of five siblings.
Sherry’s passion was for family, shopping, and all things jewelry. She was a fantastic cook and could always throw a great meal together. Sherry took pride in her career as a nurse and was busy "saving lives,” as she would say with a straight face. She had the most wonderful sense of humor and her laugh was contagious! She was a phenomenal wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the type of person who would go above and beyond for the ones she loved. Eating out was one of her favorite past times and Sherry loved traveling and trying out new restaurants. Sherry loved going to the "show" with her husband Jim, they went every Friday. She was fiercely loyal, strong, and independent; an elegant lady with style and class.
Sherry is survived in death by her husband, James, children Tarek, Rabbia, and Lilah, granddaughters Alexzanderah Vaughn, and Kira Zorn, sisters, Nazira Iman, Zaharah Medina Rahim, and brother Hussian Syud Rahim. Preceded in death by her father, mother, and older sister Ramiza Dahlin.
Sherry was a wonderful woman who will be missed greatly by all who loved her. I am so proud she was my grandmother.
