Scott Takeshi Kobashi peacefully passed away March 16, 2024. Scott maintained his sense of humor throughout his brave battle with diabetes, but sadly succumbed to complications from the disease at the age of 60. Scott worked to live--he was an avid Oakland A’s fan; enjoyed watching Warriors games on TV with his sons; loved playing guitar and jamming with friends; and cuddling with fur babies Zoey, Tinker and Tiny. He is survived by his lifelong partner, Patricia Kobashi; proud father of his sons Bryan and Michael; parents Saburo and Ruby; sister Kelli; and his many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his sweet newborn daughter Caitlin.
Service will be held at 5pm on Thursday April 18, 2024 at San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 N 5th Street. All friends and family attending are encouraged to wear Scott’s favorite attire-gear from his beloved Oakland Athletics and Aloha shirts.
