Sergio “Chacho”
Sergio “Chacho” passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 63. Born with Down syndrome, he lived a life filled with joy, love, and kindness, always bringing smiles to those around him.
He loved singing along with mariachis, listening to his favorite artist Vicente Fernández, and taking special trips to Mexico with our parents. One of his greatest pleasures was enjoying a hamburger—with ketchup on everything.
Sergio will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving family.
Visitation services will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA, 95125, on January 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and again on January 16, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
A wake will take place at the same venue on January 15, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service is scheduled for January 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park on January 16, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
