Shoso Hanamoto passed away on a Friday morning in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his closest loved ones. He enjoyed farming, cinema, and spending time with his family and friends. His impact lives on within the Japanese American community that he served.
He is survived by his only daughter, Diane Hanamoto, two granddaughters, Danielle and Drey Stites, and one great-grandson Austin Jenks. Siblings; Riuji (Laura) Hanamoto, Amy Hanamoto, and Seigo (Keiko) Hanamoto. Predeceased by his wife Joyce Hanamoto and sons Randy and Warren Hanamoto.
A public memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on March 30th at the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Ave, Morgan Hill, CA.
