Socorro was born August 29, 1935, in Marinette (known as Sun City), Arizona to the late Frank Sobarzo and Sofia Martinez Sobarzo.
Socorro was a loving, caring and dedicated wife, mother, sister and “Lil gram” to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to and signing mariachi music, watching her beloved San Francisco Giants and spending time with her beloved large and extended family.
Socorro lived long enough to attend and help in the planning of the first family reunion dedicated to the memory of her mother Sofia Martinez Sobarzo, in Glendale, Arizona, November of 2019. She was also instrumental in helping her late husband Alfredo in running a janitorial and Mariachi business as a bookkeeper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfredo C Estrada, son Joseph L Sarinana and daughter Raquel Estrada, sisters Rita Sobarzo Chavez and Josephine Sobarzo Killingsworth and brothers Frank Sobarzo Jr. and Ramon Sobarzo.
Those left to cherish Socorro “Lil Gram’s” memory are her sons Frank Sarinana of San Jose and daughter-in-law Penny, Salvador Aguirre, Jr. of Benicia and wife Diana, daughters Rosalinda Aguirre of Glendale, AZ and husband Alfonso, JoAnn Sarinana of San Jose and husband Isidro, Barbara Ventura of Surprise, AZ and husband Floyd, Christina Aguirre Sandoval of San Jose and husband Arturo and Veronica Estrada of San Jose and son-in-law Frank Maldonado.
Socorro is survived by her beloved brother Gilbert Sobarzo of Blythe, California and sister Lydia Lopez Morris of Glendale, AZ. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 20, 2020, from 4:00-8:00PM in the Chapel of Roses. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 10:00-11:00AM at Oak Hill Memorial Park Guadalupe site
