Steven, Brian, and Linda,

  This is David Nelson, the neighborhood boy who long ago was your babysitter. Do you remember me? I hate to tell you what we did with your dead pet rat while your mother was out! Do you remember that tale?

I was very, very fond of your father, and have remembered him as a very kind man who has always been a pillar of my youth. Under his guidance, I became an engineer for National Semiconductor. Later, based on that foundation, I became an orthopedic hand surgeon. I have always felt that your father's kindnesses to me, in your little basement workshop, have helped me to become the surgeon I am today.

Old Badger (Stan) will be missed by the geocaching community. I loved the caches he placed and he still is number one in my book as the best caches ever made.  My favorite geocache of all time was "Tiny Starfish" up near Stevens Creek Dam. He left us way too early. God Bless the family.
