I don't have enough words to express how much Susan meant to my family and me.  She was an incredible teacher, friend, confidant, and mentor ... and the reason I braved my way back into teaching. I don't have enough words to say how much I appreciated knowing Susan throughout the years.  She was an incredible teacher, mentor, confidant, and friend.  It broke my heart to not be able to say goodbye to her, but I'm sure she's up there somewhere saying "What's all the fuss?" Susan, we will miss you.  Karlie and Michael will always had great memories of kindergarten.

A wonderful teacher at San Jose Unified.  So loved seeing her at the Hammer School parties.  She will be greatly missed.

Susan will always be a part of my childhood memories--from taking piano lessons with her, to Christmas caroling, to all of the shared family events. I will always remember her fondly and dearly and with much love.

Mrs. Holt was such a wonderful teacher; we feel so fortunate that Kate was with her during her final year of teaching. Her everlasting gift to our whole family was her term for not doing your best work - schlumpadinka. We still use it today! She will be missed by many; Hacienda will never be quite the same.
