with love, encouragement, and positivity.
Tatkieu started a successful plastics factory business in Saigon with husband Cuong Lu.
However, the Vietnam war forced the family to flee the country and they made their way to
Canada to begin a new life from scratch. Working hard, they raised a son and six daughters,
put them all through college, and then immigrated to the United States where she continued to
be a beacon of light for her children and grandchildren.
Left to honor Tatkieu and to remember her love are her seven children; her fifteen grandchildren
who gave her such delight; her two brothers and two sisters; and many nieces and
nephews.
Tatkieu will be remembered for the way she brightened the mood of any room she entered. Per
our religious custom, we respectfully ask for no monetary donations or flowers; your presence
will be the greatest gift possible.
