

Toni Lonny Reed was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Toni will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Toni was born on August 10, 1977 in American Samoa. He was the son of Leaeno Frank Wesley Reed and Tu'ungafuka Soakai Pulu. Toni grew up in American Samoa and San Jose, California.
Toni was raised with nine siblings. He had two brother, Robert and William, and four sisters, Fa'aala Nora, Fuka, Liugalua and Ta'atu. Toni also had two step-brothers and one step-sister. Toni was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
On September 7, 1996 Toni exchanged wedding vows with Margaret Rubynet Reed at First United Methodist Church of San Jose, California. Empathic and loyal, Toni was committed to making his new family happy.
Toni worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Toni was blessed with six children, two sons, Toni Jr. and Sione, and four daughters, Veilomani, Liugalua, Jade and Ilisapesi. Toni was also blessed with four nephews whom he adopted named Ongomai Reed-Pulu, Tata Reed-Pulu, Liki Reed and Mua Reed-Faleao.
Fortunately, Toni enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Toni worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was as a Manufacturing Plant Superintendant. He was employed for 15 years by Temple-Inland. Toni always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Toni enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were spending time with his children, teaching them and supporting them. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Toni found pleasure in sports. He was something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were coaching his children's team.
Toni’s faith was important to him. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Toni passed away on December 26, 2011 at home in San Jose, California. Toni passed away peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Reed; his six beautiful children Toni Jr. Sione, Veilomani, Liugalua, Jade, and Ilisapesi; and his four nephews Ongomai, Tata, Liki and Mua Reed. Services were held at Oak Hill Funeral Home in San Jose, California. Toni was laid to rest in Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose, California.
Simply stated, Toni was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Toni leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Toni Lonny Reed.
