He was a major in the Vietnamese Airforce. He flew numerous combat missions over North Vietnam in many jetfighters including the F5E.
After the defeat of South Vietnam by North Vietnam in 1975, Tri and his family fled to the U.S and settled in CA.
He was married to Phung Nguyen for 51 years.
He is also survived by his son John of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter Kym, sons Charlie, Joseph and Michael of Milpitas, CA.
Five grandchildren Nicholas, Joshua, Justin, Jolena and Michael.
He is predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Van Giao, elder brother Nguyen Quoc Phong.
Other surviving family members including sister-in-law Phung Chi (widow of Phong), brothers Duc and Kiet, sister Chi, brother Lap,
sister Truc Rosensteel and their families, other extended family members and friends too numerous too mention.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, loyal friend, he will be dearly missed.
