Mom was a strong, witty and humorous woman. Her will power and fearlessness were unparalleled. Mom was a warrior. She survived war, family separation and the open sea, to land in a foreign country and build a beautiful family.
With her limited English, Mom raised her four children into successful adults and had a hand in rearing dozens more children, shaping us all into productive members of our communities.
Mom was a loving person, who took care of everyone around her. She opened her home to anyone and made it their refuge. Mom was an amazing cook and would make enough food to feed her family and the whole village. She was the village leader.
We will honor and celebrate our mom on Sunday, April 13, 2025. We will have a Buddhist ceremony from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Viewing starts from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by eulogy at 12:00-1:30 p.m. and last viewing at 1:30-2:00 p.m. Committal service will be from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM. Light refreshments of our mom’s favorites will be served.
We thank all of our families and friends for their love of our mom. Instead of donations and flowers, in our mom’s memories, we ask that you support the following organizations:
