“Just one more cast . . . “
Victor was born in Ft. Bragg, CA on June 16, 1922. At age 13, the family relocated to Los Gatos, CA where he graduated from Los Gatos High in 1940. Victor then enlisted in the Coast Guard, serving most of his time on the USS Eberle. Upon his return, he began his career as a meat cutter, first with Safeway and retiring from Rory’s Rosenberg’s Market. After the war, in 1946, he married the love of his life, Lorraine Pizzo. They were married for 73 years before her death in 2019. They had 2 daughters, Vicki and Lori, son-in-law Mike, his treasured grandchildren Alexa and husband Paul, Zoey, Kelsey, Jessica and husband Steve and Ricky and wife Patty. Victor also adored his great-grandchildren, Amelia and Anthony, Kaitlynn, Ryleigh and Stevie and Jason and Kendyl. Besides his family and friends, he was an avid 49er faithful, he loved being outdoors in his garden and especially when he could be fly fishing, using poles and flies he made himself. Another favorite was travelling with Lorraine, their family and friends. We will miss him, especially his smile and laugh! A memorial will be held on October 5 at 1:30pm at Villa Ragusa, 38 So. Second St, Campbell. If you wish to give a gift, donations to warriorsandquietwaters.org, alivingtribute.org or The Humane Society would be appreciated.
