Victor Rodriguez

Victor Rodriguez, 91, of San Jose, California, passed away on July 28, 2026. Born on November 17, 1934, in Cayey, Puerto Rico, Victor was the son of the late Eleuterio Rodriguez and Agustina Ayala. He lived a full and meaningful life, one shaped by hard work, deep love for his family, and a quiet kindness that touched everyone who knew him.

As a young man, Victor made the bold decision to leave Puerto Rico and start a new life in New Jersey, where he would build his future. It was there that he married the love of his life, Leonor, and together they made their first home on 2nd Street, a milestone he always held close to his heart. Victor worked his way up to Supervisor at Fedder Air Conditioning, a role that reflected his dependable and dedicated nature.

Victor was a passive, simple man who was never without his signature dark sunglasses. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, and family meant everything to him. He had a love for taking pictures so enthusiastic that his wife sometimes thought he might become a photographer. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, watching boxing and wrestling, dancing, and spending time working on cars and gardening.

Victor is survived by his beloved wife, Leonor Rodriguez; his sons, Victor Rodriguez Jr. and David Rodriguez; his daughters, Lucy Rodriguez and Lissette Rodriguez; his sisters, Basilisa Cedeno and Rosin Brown; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Pierre Rodriguez; his brother, Pedro Rodriguez; and his sisters, Agustina Santos, Luisa Rodriguez, Angela Fernandez, Maria Rodriguez, Maria Arango, Luz Rodriguez, and Aurelia Pagan.

Services will be held on August 25, 2026, at Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose, California 95125. Viewing will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with light refreshments served in the dining area. A service will follow from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, California 95125.

The family is so grateful for all the love and support from family across the country, friends, and wonderful neighbors who have looked out for them during this time. A special thank you to Victor’s caregiver, Bibiana, who has always gone above and beyond these past 2 years.
