Voeun was a man of incredible resilience and quiet determination. Not speaking a word of English, he humbly took his first job as a baker at Winchell’s Donut Shop. A job he had to leave behind after surviving a violent attack. But Voeun never let hardship define him. He picked himself back up and found his calling in the hardwood floor business, eventually building a thriving company alongside a couple of close friends. Their shared success in the end led each of them down their own path to build individual businesses continuing a beautiful legacy of the hard work they built together.
At his core, Voeun was a hard working man. He was devoted entirely to his family, working tirelessly as their provider and protector. He opened his home to anyone who needed a place to land, and he would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought.
He was, in every sense of the word, fiercely kind, strong, and selfless. He was a man whose love left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Voeun was preceded in death by his son, Sokchea Voil and is survived by his wife Mao Pann, son, Vannak Voil, daughters, Valerie and Vivian Voil, son in law, Bryan Ulibas, niece, Maly Phlong, grandsons Raymond Young, Norin Phlong, Julian Ulibas, granddaughters Giselle Phlong, Somara Leigh Ulibas and many more beloved family members and friends.
