My Dear Classmate, Walter Haselman …..we 
were best of High School friends ….we spent so much time together , be it  at band or orchestra practice, the orchestra pit during the school musicals , and 
the classroom …. And most of all , the  times 
spent  on the wrestling team.

Walt was in the 165 pound weight division, 
I was in the 157, and we practiced and honed 
our wrestling techniques and developed our skills by wrestling each other.. Walt always called me “champ”.
However , Walt was a true champion.
He excelled in his High School Wrestling 
….. but that should not have been a surprise to anyone, for if I recall , he said he started wrestling at age 10.
His arms were not that of a body builder, but 
 the  strength that was possessed in them 
was always a surprise to his wrestling opponents.

Walt was adorned with blond hair, and a great 
Swiss accent….. yes he was from Switzerland, or was it Sweden….. doesn’t make any difference.

I kept in touch with Walt from time to time.
 Walt married,  and had 5 or 6 children , if I recall correctly.
Walt became  a military officer…. He had his first career in the military. I think his second career was in real estate.

Thanks Walt for all the good times when we were young and strong….. thanks for being 
such a cherished friend….. You were a great
“Best Example “ of what a man could be.

Met Walter at San Francis of Assisi Church. Admired his religious dedication to God and church. That I became member of the Holy Rosary Prayer group every 13th day of the month.  May you Rest In Peace ☮️ In God’s Kingdom.

Our sincere condolences to the family. Truly been a blessing to have known such devoted faithful servant of God. One of the first to arrive for daily mass and the last to leave. He had a great devotion to Our Lady of Fatima and he was always there to join our 13th of the Month Fatima Rosary group.  He faithfully said the Memorare every hour for the unborn. Every month he would give me the total number of prayers that he said so I can log it in on the Relevant Radio website- over 600 Memorare per month. I don’t think he slept much. I’m sure he continues to pray up there for us.  Rest In Peace Walter. 

Sweet memories of Walter  during the morning rosaries and of meeting him on Sundays at the grange. He was always smiling & always welcoming. He will be missed, now St Francis has a new angel with him.

Our sincere condolences to the family. Walter don’t know me personally but I being a parishioner at Saint Francis see him leading the rosary, novena to the divine mercy and at the daily masses. We will surely miss him. God bless his soul and May he rest in Eternal Peace🙏 …Dante & Zeny Patalot

I met Mr Walter Haslemann at St Francis of Assisi parish when I returned to the Catholic Church after several years away from the faith. He welcomed me to the morning Rosary group held before weekday masses. I will always remember his kindness, and devotion to the Mass and the rosary. May his soul rest in the eternal peace of heaven. My sincere condolences to his family.

May Mr Walter Rest In Peace!! My deepest condolences to the Family of Mr Walter. Sending warm hugs to them. I’ve known Mr Walter at Prudential CA Realty and continued into Saint Francis of Assisi Parish. He is a good man and a great friend! So long Mr Walter God is with you now.
