Wesley Steven Waldron was born on May 30, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York. In 1977, the Waldron family traded in east coast living and moved to San Jose, California. As a young boy, Wesley was extremely active; so, the open spaces of California were a perfect fit.
In San Jose, he gained an affinity for sports. Wesley appreciated competition and flourished in any sport he tried, but what he valued, was the bond and close relationships he developed with his teammates. From elementary to high school he participated in baseball, football and the high jump, but his true love was basketball.
At Blackford High School, he dazzled on the court by displaying agility, strength and determination. After high school, he attended West Valley College where he continued to showcase his athletic prowess.
After college he worked at Stratford School and Soquel High School as a paraprofessional, where he assisted students with their physical, personal, and emotional needs. He then held positions at Safeway, Grocery Outlet, and Living Spaces where he was known as a hard worker, an asset to his department and a colleague who was admired and respected by many.
Wesley enjoyed being of service to others. He volunteered at various youth sports programs, where he taught the importance of confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship. He also cut hair for family and friends. This allowed him to be creative, express his artistic ability through different styles, spend quality time with loved ones, but most importantly he knew a fresh cut would put a smile on their faces.
Wesley is survived by his three children Hassiem Kyree Waldron, Asia Grace Nicole Bray, and Kingston Elijah Waldron; his loving parents Hugh and Ingrid Waldron; brother Alex Waldron; sister Sonia Waldron; niece Ja’Naya Harrison; nephew Jaylen Harrison, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Wesley’s smile, warm spirit and infectious laughter will be missed by all who knew him well. Although his time on Earth was short, he left a beautiful impression on many. His memory will be kept alive in the hearts of those who loved him best. May he forever rest in peace.
A visitation for Wesley will be held at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, located at 710 Willow St., San Jose, CA 95125.
