As a child I stood next to you. Now as a woman, I stand with you. Burning through I can see you. You paved the way for us all only to conquer and live life in full victory. Dad I miss you when something good happens, because your the one I want to share it with. I miss you when something is troubling me, because your the one that understands my heart and encourages me with your words of wisdom and prayer.  I miss you when I laugh and cry because I know that you are the one that makes my laughter grow and my tears disappear. The greatest heritage a man can leave to his children is NOT money or property, but FAITH. Money and property can be lost, stolen, burn down or repossess but not FAITH. Your children can use this faith to make money or obtain property because they have been taught and witnessed by you to trust God as their provider. Thank you for telling your children to work hard, not being lazy, and spend their money wisely. Thank you for loving and obeying God by example, not talk or lecture and want all of us to do the same. Thank you for leaving a spiritual legacy for your children of knowing God and making Him known to others. Thank you for training your children in the way they should go so that when they are older, they would not depart from it! Thank you for your Army cooking stories, drywall stories, etc. and you always have a good laugh at it. I missed your laughter and facial expression when we talk about Victoria monthly HOA or mortgage payment, etc. You will be missed, Will!

To my wise and talented dad,

You are no longer burdened by the things of the world dad....you are free in every way....I'm so happy for you dad and sad for me...but you would tell me to move forward and lean on God. God never fails, never leaves us, or disappoints us like the world. Thank you so much dad for EVERYTHING...your love, encouragement when I desperately needed it, your wisdom, hard work, always striving for better and more.  Your ability to build and fix pretty much anything, your beautiful singing voice, your physical strength. The beautiful home you built for us, all your prayers, and all the beautiful memories you left us with that I will carry always in my heart. 

You once told me dad, that if only I would listen to your advice, I would avoid a lot of pain. I wish I would have listened to you back then....life would have been different and better....I'm just thankful that today I understand everything I didn't understand then...I now see what you saw dad....I will remember everything you said and taught me, and I will apply it to my life everyday....Everything you ever said was for our own good...You just didn't want us to suffer or lose our salvation.

I still can't believe you're gone....I don't understand why things happened the way they did....Why did God take you home 15 days before my wedding?? All that mattered to me was that I had a proper wedding where you walked me down the aisle with Pebbles, Harvey, and Rosie. I couldn't have a wedding without you dad....it didn't matter anymore...renewing our vows was all for you...but I've always believed that everything happens for a reason....As sad as it is...God's plan is so much bigger than mine....You went home the way you wanted to dad....strong and healthy...you didn't suffer...you just went home too soon and so unexpectedly.

Thank you for loving and always asking about Pebbles, Harvey, and Rosie. Thank you for all the hot dogs you would buy them. I miss you deeply dad....nothing is the same..It's very hard now in so many ways....I pray everyday for God to give me the strength to carry on so that I can fulfill all your wishes dad. My goal in life is to be the person God wants me to be....you're right dad....it's not enough to just go to church. I realize that now...it's wanting a relationship with Him...wanting to know Him & wanting to leave our ways for His...is what brings about change...I look forward to the day we will be together again...Until then dad, cheer me on from the heavens every second. You're the biggest influence in my life...I am who I am because of you.

Dearest Victoria, My heart goes out to you and your family. I know you all loved your dear Father so very much and I hope your sweet memories of him will help your hearts heal.

Willie was my good friend at the San Jose YMCA.  My locker was next to his and thus through the years we would talk and discuss much, from sports to Jesus, countless topics. Great entertainment too with Willie's long time friend Frank being in the same locker row.  Frank is a character and always would rib Willie about something Willie did, whether in regards to religion,or on the basketball court or the nature of money and who has it.  Willie always calm and Frank always enjoying the soft competition, but really demonstrating true brotherly love. I was lucky to be amongst such good people and although not a religious person, I was blessed to have known this man, Willie.   With respect and finest regards, ron rose
