Born on May 17, 1963, in San Andres, Manila, Philippines, to Leopoldo and Perla Quindor, Wilma was the youngest of six children. She admired her older brothers and sisters and treasured them dearly. Growing up in the Philippines, Wilma enjoyed participating in youth pageants and excelled academically. After her father completed his service with the U.S. Navy, she and her family moved to San Francisco, California, where she completed her high school education.
Shortly after their move, Wilma met Manny de Gracia at a holiday gathering, and their love story began. Manny, the charmer that he was, courted Wilma when she was just 17 years old, and their relationship quickly blossomed into a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and friendship.
Together, they built a beautiful family and established successful careers. Wilma dedicated more than 25 years of service to the Superior Court of San Francisco as a court clerk. Throughout her career, she earned the respect of her colleagues and formed friendships that would last a lifetime.
Wilma was known for her sweet, kind, and loving nature. She had an infectious laugh that could brighten any room and a warm smile that made everyone feel welcome. Family was at the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. Whether at family gatherings, holiday celebrations, or in the simple moments of everyday life, Wilma’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by those she loved.
For three years, Wilma courageously battled colorectal cancer. Throughout her journey, her strength was evident to everyone around her. She faced each challenge with resilience, determination, and grace, inspiring her family and friends with her unwavering spirit. Even during difficult times, she continued to put others first, offering love, encouragement, and kindness to those around her.
Wilma was a loving and devoted wife to Manny and a proud mother to her three children, Janelle, Glaiza, and Brandon. She also lovingly welcomed their spouses, Anthony, Kuaika, and Maila, into the family and cherished them as her own. She was also a cherished grandmother to her seven grandchildren, who brought immense joy and purpose to her life.
Known affectionately as “Mama Lola”, she adored her grandchildren and took great joy in spoiling them with love, treats, and special memories. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to make them feel loved and cherished.
Wilma had a well-known sweet tooth and loved snacking on her favorite treats. She enjoyed visiting the casino with Manny, where they shared many fun-filled adventures and created countless memories together. She also loved dancing with her husband, and together they filled many occasions with laughter, music, and joy.
One of the many ways Wilma showed her love was through her cooking. Family and friends will always remember her delicious cassava and coconut shrimp, dishes that became favorites at family gatherings and reflected the warmth and care she put into everything she did.
Wilma’s legacy is one of unconditional love, generosity, laughter, kindness, and perseverance. She touched countless lives with her caring spirit and gentle heart. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Manny de Gracia; her children, Janelle, Glaiza, and Brandon; their spouses, Anthony, Kuaika, and Maila; her seven beloved grandchildren, Kaimana, Miles, Quinn, Kapule, Jaivion, Jaxson, and Justice; her brothers and sisters; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
While our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that her beautiful spirit, joyful laughter, incredible strength, and endless love will continue to live on through the family she cherished so deeply.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
