Truly a wonderful Wordly Woman. Quietly strong. She survived and fought the Japanese invasion as a young girl. Married her Enrique who went on to serve in the United States Navy defending freedom on the High Seas with America's Carrier groups during Korea, Vietnam and the Cold War. Raised talented kids on both coasts from Baltimore to Alameda. Her home was always filled with pictures of her kids and nieces, nephews, grandkids and then all the places she visited. You would think all the traveling with the Navy would have tempered her wander lust. Dublin, Rome, Manilla, The Holy Land, Munich, London, just some of the places she explored. Globetrotting into her later years. Strong Catholic Faith through years of service to her country and family sustained her through happy and sad times. Always upbeat and cheerful She was very content to hang out with your Son Ruben and help him cook, watch tv, hear him play guitar and piano, take in his art and have everyone visit her at home. Keeping up with Sports with her son from the Giants, Niners, Warriors and going up to San Francisco on the Final Day of America;s Cup to Witness United States Team Oracle greatest comeback to keep America's Cup from the Kiwis of Team Emirates New Zealand. She kept sharp taking down cross word puzzles, The Merc, The Chron, NY Times and WSJ. . The kitchen was the place to be. Always food ready for you. A great feast and savoring of wine, food and friendship. Buona Festa! Bouna Appetito! She was home to so many and you really felt that when you were with her you were home. Now she has been called home to be with her beloved husband Enrique and her parents and siblings from the islands. A Great Banquet Awaits! A Great Life! The Greatest Generation!
