When Isabel found Benito and her family in Puerto Rico, we were so fortunate to have met such an amazingly warm, loving, charismatic, humanitarian man!  We loved meeting Benito and Johnny in NYC and then again spending time together in Boston and on Cape Cod camping.  Isabel, thank you for sharing your wonderful Papi with the Phillips family!  We are so grateful and so very sad. 💕

We will miss you, Benny your New York family has wonderful memories,  fun memories,  I would. blow you kisses, and you would run after them down the cobblestone street to catch them... that was in San Juan when we were on vacation I’ll never forget visiting with Benny sightseeing around the area and having a great lunch and a few cold  Heinekens!!!  Great day for sure...  never to ever forget you Benny. Visits we had with you and Isabel, in New York, BBQ, music, laughing, dancing, beers and taking lots of pictures, Benny always having a big smile and a peace ☮️ peace ✌️ Sign.  May Benito RIP. We will always have him close to us all in our hearts and precious memories, cherishing them all. Meeting Papi was absolutely one of the highlights of our lives.  We met through his daughter Isabel, and are so grateful and blessed to have had the opportunity to know him even if it was only for a short while.  He was so filled with love and quick to laugh.  He was a gift to everyone, and to know him was to love him.  Until we meet again.

Uncle Benny was the best uncle anyone could ever ask for. He was kind, compassionate, funny, and very genuine. My cousins and I treasure the many lessons of life he shared with us.

I am so grateful that my  aunt married him and more thankful for having Tio Benny in our lives for so many years. God blessed him with great health and a sound mind until Tio was called home.

No tengo palabras... papi yo te quería ver... pero se que estás bien con papito Dios...
 Sabes que papi, para mi fue un honor en haber compartido en una marcha tan importante en Puerto Rico junto a ti... yo era tu peleona pero era siempre por tu bien, tú te reías y decías es que tú me cuidas gracias hija... pues es que te creías de 18 años... pero sé que eso fue lo que mantuvo tu espíritu joven aunque tú físico dijera lo contrario... comenzaste en Viequez y de ahí fuistes icono en cada lucha... papi tú me decías que había mucha gente que te quería mucho, yo no dudaba de eso pero he quedado impresionada por el amor que se desborda de tantos por tu partida... son tantas las personas a las que tú llegaste al corazón... orgullosa de mi papi Benito El Mas Querido...

Gracias por tantos recuerdos!! Que quedarán grabados y gracias a Iris por encargarse de enviarnolos! Vuela alto!!

Quiero agradecer a la familia Reinosa por que siempre nos ha tratado como parte de su familia, y papi como cariñosamente le decíamos era un ser humano extraordinario el cual dejó muchos bonitos recuerdos en mi familia especialmente en mis hijos a los cuales siempre quizo como sus nietos. Recuerdo cuando se llevaba a mi hijo para que pescaran juntos y me lo cuidaba muchísimo. Pasé muchos bonitos momentos con ustedes y ahora en la distancia quiero que sepan que mi corazón está con ustedes y quisiera poder darles un fuerte abrazo a cada uno, en especial a Ia! Los quiero muchísimo gracias por dejar buenas memorias en mi familia , mucha fortaleza y que Dios los bendiga muchísimo!

Gracias Tio Benny por regalarnos tu energía y tu pasión hacia las causas justas de Puerto Rico. Me siento muy orgullosa de llevar sangre Reinosa en mis venas y de tu legado. Le pido a Dios que me dé salud para llegar a una edad como la tuya, con la misma energía y salud que tenías. Cuando sea grande quiero ser como tu! Un abrazote a Provi y a mis primos.

Ver a ese viejito luchar incansablemente era inspirador.  Benito era ejemplo de que uno jamás se debe rendir ante ninguna injusticia.  Fuiste tú quién me salvo de la policía cuando me intercambié por Tito en las protestas de Paseo Caribe, tu me distes esa bicicleta que me ayudó a escapar.  Tus abrazos, tu sonrisa y ese beso de bendición que nos dabas aún se sienten.  BENITO EL MÁS QUERIDO.  Hay hombres que luchan toda una vida, esos son los imprescindibles.  VIVA PUERTO RICO LIBRE.  HASTA SIEMPRE COMANDANTE, HASTA SIEMPRE AMIGO.

Los mejores abrazos fueron los del gran Benito. Simpático, humilde, sincero y patriota. Su sonrisa iluminaba todo. Un abrazo a su familia. Luz para su espíritu.

El gran Benito; cuanto se dio a querer este humilde, sabio y militante “viejo”. ¡Gracias por tantas anécdotas desde la calle en las diversas luchas por nuestra amada Patria!
