Seems impossible that a month has gone by since Daddy passed away.   We are so grateful for all the messages we have gotten in the last month.  Daddy was so many things to so many different people, and we are happy to remember him through our memories, as well as all the ones that have been shared with us.  I have no doubt he is at peace and in heaven, surrounded by so many people we love that left us way too soon, but welcomed him with open arms.   In this 1-month anniversary of his passing, I will post what Alejandro (his 10-year old grandson) read at his mass.   As always, children teach us something every day.   What he said was brief, but Daddy would have been so proud...

¡Mi querido tío Bill! Siempre voy a extrañar tus abrazos apretaos, tu sonrisa  y tu interés sobre cómo estaba de salud, qué leía o qué película había visto recientemente. No se me olvida que en una estadía en el hospital me llevaste un libro que me deslumbró y que pronto me hizo buscar más del mismo autor, Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Así descubrí a este escritor español -que también te gustaba mucho, pero que te costaba conseguir las ediciones en inglés. Fue un descubrimiento que siempre te agradecí. 
Tampoco puedo olvidar que hace más de 30 años, luego de una complicación seria de salud, te ocupaste de sacarme a pasear por el Viejo San Juan, donde posé para ti en algunos sitios. De hecho, creo que él se convirtió en el fotógrafo oficial de la familia y de todos los eventos y fiestas familiares, desde el nacimiento de un niño o niña, el bautizo, hasta su casamiento. La foto más reciente que tengo con él es gracias a una invitación que me hizo él y Noyda para ir a ver Hamilton en Bellas Artes, donde intenté hacer un selfie…
Querido tío Bill siempre estarás en mi corazón y memoria, fuiste un ser muy especial para mí, aunque nunca te lo dije. Ahora ya trascendiste a otro plano, sin sufrimiento y sé que cuando nos toque, nos volveremos a encontrar.  



A Bill siempre los recordaremos con mucho amor.  Bill fue un ser muy bueno y guarda un lugar muy especial en nuestros corazones.  Bill, en compinche con Daniel, bautizo a Melissa con el apodo de Serafina y más tarde a Javier con el apodo de William Daniel.  Bill siempre celebraba a todos los que cocinaban por todas las comidas que se preparaban.  Todo siempre estaba muy rico para él y lo hacia saber al que cocinada.  Su vida fue Noyda, sus hijos y nietos.  Estoy segura que ya se ha re-encontrado con todos los que se han ido antes.  Que en paz descanses, Bill Parker!

As a child, I didn't know a whole lot of parents except for my very closest friends. But I definitely knew Bill. He was always beyond friendly, helpful, and kind.  Bill took care of you. He didn't have to, but he did. 

He was such a wonderful person, and I'm grateful to have known him.  May he rest in peace.

Uncle Bill loved his family so much and lived such a full life. He was always kind and loving to me and my family and I loved him for that. Besos a todos, Elsita 

Leroy and I loved Bill very much.  Leroy often commented on Bill’s love of family and we loved being a part of it.  He was our first house guest after we married.  He  had flown into the Memphis  airport to see his mom and was stranded because of the snow.  

It was always great to see you all when you were in Arkansas.  We will miss Bill, but look forward to seeing all of you when you come in the Spring.

Noyda and family-
I was so saddened to hear of Bill's recent passing.  He was certainly a great man and a pleasure to work with on a professional level.  May you find comfort and peace in the upcoming days as you grieve this loss.  Hold onto the many memories that you have of Bill, and keep them close to your heart.

I worked with Bill for many years, visiting many Life Science clients in Puerto Rico, and remember his happy demeanor and close relationships with his clients.  I especially remember our culinary visits to España, near the airport, La Bombonera in Old San Juan, El Meson across the island and Veronica’s shop in Manatí.  I recall Bill particularly enjoying the Mallorca, sweet bread and a Cuban sandwich.  I always looked to Bill as my dietary consultant. 
I will miss Bill’s friendship and humor and may he rest in peace.

I am saddened by the news of Bill's passing and want to extend my condolences to his family.  Bill was a long time business partner of HACH company and always treated our business and relationship in a very professional and ethical manner.  May he rest in peace and eternal glory, Hermes

Noyda: I am so very sorry for your loss. I have known you and Bill since I started my career with Eurotherm.  Whenever you were in the states visiting your son in Bethesda and your daughter in New York,  you would stop by my desk to share stories about weddings, grandchildren and life in Puerto Rico. Take care. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I know Bill loved his grandbabies as he would always share memories with me about them.  His love for his family was strong.  He will be missed by many and I will miss our wonderful talks!

I had the opportunity to meet Bill professionally. Quickly learned about his determination.....something to be emulated. I also learned about Bill's love for his family, local café con leche and tostadas, and great appreciation for the people of PR.  My condolences to Noyda and the rest of the family.      

Uncle Billy was greatly loved by his Arkansas family. We will miss him and pray for his precious family as they mourn his loss as well.  He was a true friend to my father and more like a brother as we all called him Uncle.  They grew up together hunting and fishing in Northeast Arkansas. Then they attended the U of A where they became true Razorback fans. We all enjoyed their family visits to Paragould. Monica's wedding was an event we will never forget. So beautiful and fun to be together. We will never forget the love he shared with us when Dad passed. He was so generous, kind, thoughtful and helpful.  My dad always said "Billy was a prince of a man". We all agree and miss him dearly. Much love to Aunt Noyda, Abe, Monica and the family. What a joy and blessing to have known and loved him. He made everything fun. Thankful for Jesus to be able to see each other again in heaven. 

Not only a great business partner but an irreplaceable FRIEND! Great memories I have from Bill, many great histories. Great Mentor! Rest in Peace Bill!
